A unique top made using panels of reworked fabric scraps in complimentary pinks and browns. The main body of this boxy top uses a fluid satin backed crepe in dusky and bound hems are in a chocolate brown lightweight twill.
 
Born from the desire to put my fabric scraps to good use, the fabric for the sleeves of this top is constructed using strips of complimentary colours and prints. Each strip is picked, cut and stitched together and then the sleeves are lined using the same fabric as the main body to hide all the rough seams. 
 
This top has details of appliqued leaves across the front in matching fabric, hiding re-enforcing repair stitches on some small flaws in this beautiful fabric.
 
The cut of this top is a boxy shape, with a wide neckline bound with cotton bias binding. The hems are bound and topstitched with a wide contrast strip. The t-shirt length sleeves come to mid bicep and the length of the top comes to just below the belly button, working perfectly with high waisted trousers.
